The traditional short course game. All our holes are par three’s but don’t be fooled into thinking that makes our 1000+ meter course a pushover. Being short enough for kids doesn’t stop the course being a test for golfers! Each of the 18 holes has its own unique identity, some being longer, others over the brook, some with numerous bunkers and others with sloping tricky greens.

The course is well maintained and the putting greens kept in a good order being cut three times weekly. Your green fee includes your choice of a quality steel pitching wedge, sand iron, nine iron or approach wedge and a modern design putter. The clubs come in left and right handed options with all sizes available from men’s to ladies and down to cut down clubs for children as young as five. If you have an even younger child you can take a short putter and drop a ball by the green to keep them involved as you go round for just £1.

Two balls are provided per player (yes it is possible to lose them on our course!) and we just ask for 50p as you leave in return for each lost one. A handful of tees, pencil and coloured scorecard complete the inventory.

If you want to sharpen your short game, take on your mates or give your kids a taste of golf in a relaxed and beautiful environment Kirkwood Park is definitely the place for you to do just that.

Remember – you are welcome to play a nine and nine combo of any of our games for the same price as the full eighteen of any one! Just come to the clubhouse after nine holes and we’ll fix you up with the other kit for no extra cost to you!
